Working with the Recycle Bin

When records are added to the Recycle Bin, they no longer appear in Views or Reports. The record and all related information are effectively removed from normal processing in the platform.
- Records in the Recycle Bin are held for 30 days before they are automatically and permanently deleted
To view the Recycle Bin:
- Open any object, and click the Recycle Bin link
- A list of records in the Recycle Bin is displayed
- Optionally, choose to Restore the records or Permanently Delete the records.
Restore
This option restores the data and all the related information that was deleted.
To restore records:
- Click the checkbox next to the record(s) of interest
- Click More Actions
- Click Restore to move the selected records out of the Recycle Bin and back into normal use
Delete Forever
This option permanently deletes a record and its related information.
To permanently delete record(s):
- Click the checkbox next to the record(s) of interest
- Click More Actions
- Click Delete Forever to permanently delete the selected records
- These records cannot be recovered
Offline Processing for Batches of 2500 Records or More
When a Mass Operation request is made that contains more than 2500 records, that operation will be handled offline, as system resources allow.
To follow the progress of the Mass Operation:
- Click Settings > Data Management > Mass Operations Status
- Optionally, view the status update; Click Settings > Data Management > Mass Operations Status. This page is updated after processing every 100 records
- Statistics are displayed, indicating the number of records processed and any error messages (indicating records that could not be processed)
- Wait for notification by email that the Mass Operation is complete
