About Private Notes and Email Messages
Private Notes and Email messages can be created when viewing a a Case record or some other record. They are stored in the record history, displayed underneath the record.
Working with Private Notes and Email Messages
Creating a Private Note or Email Message
To add a note to a record:
- In the Related Information section, click [New Note]
- Title
- Descriptive title for the note
- Description
- Enter the text of the note
- Optionally, choose a Visibility option
- Default is Visible to Everyone
- Click [Submit]
- The note Title, Note Owner, and the current date appear in the Notes and Attachments section of that record
